I feel like the Orcs don't have their own religion based around the 9 like the Elves and men do, but more often worship the "bad daedra" like Malacath and Molag Bal.īut so yea, in the same way that Orcish armor looked slightly Japanese, Daedric armor in Morrowind looked more eastern, if only because instead of just an "evil" great helm, you had several helmets which looked like statues from Hindu or Buddhist traditions. Actually, Orcish armor always most closely resembled Daedric armor, with face-helms and faces on the shield, which makes sense to me. Other than that, it was really just like European plate armor, except the shield. Orcish armor in Morrowind had a slight Samurai look, mainly because of the helm and overall profile. Me, I wonder if they'll tell us what kind of elves elven armor is made by, I mean, "elven" is kind of a non-descript name in a setting where there are multiple types of elves, it would be like if Imperial armor was called "Human armor", and technically, chitin counts as elven armor too, since it's made by one of the races of elves in the setting.Īlyesha Neufeld Posts: 3421 Joined: Fri 10:45 am What I think we CAN assume from it is that we'll probably see a mix of both Nordic styles and foreign ones, of course, Nordic armors will probably still be most common.

While the structure is different from the image labeled elven armor, the style seems similar, it doesn't really look like it would be glass to me, in any case, granted, we don't know what glass looks like in Skyrim, but glass has always been some shade of green in the past, and this armor looks more golden.īut most of the questions posed in the topic are ones we simply can't answer, at this point, from Todd's answer, we can presume that Bethesda is putting more thought into where each armor style comes from, and making sure that it looks like something you could see the people who created it making, so when you look at armor, you should be able to tell which items are native Nordic designs and which are from other places. More likely, I think that's the female version of elven armor. For some reason I believe it looks quite like glass armour

This particular piece of armour looks amazing.
